ARISTA MURAL
This Mural is painted on a 21’ x 13’ interior wall inside of the Arista Wine and Spirits located in Broomfield, CO. The design incorporates some of the Denver landmarks a traveler might encounter on their way through Colorado on their way to the First Bank Center, an arena located just a couple of blocks away from the liquor store. The language used in the lettering portion is featured in Colorado’s state seal and can be translated to "Nothing Without Providence".

THE PROCESS
Although this mural differed from much of my other work, it started the same way; hand lettering with pencil on paper. The lettering portion of this mural is a custom victorian style version of the Colorado state seal. “Nil Sine Numine” can be translated to “Nothing Without Providence”.
Once the drawing was completed, I digitized the design to be added to the full mural design.
I used a projector to accurately trace the design on the wall. I used pencil for the tracing.
The design used 12 colors. I broke each color out into their own isolated print out to have easy references throughout the painting process. Once the design was traced, the last step was just to paint.
