COTTON GIN
“The Industrial revolution opened a booming market for gin as the industrialized distilling process made gin the cheapest way to get drunk, which is what thousands of people who left the land to work in the new factories wanted to do. Unfortunately, as a result, gin had developed an unpopular reputation. By the mid 19th century, Prohibition movements had come up based on the opposition to gin.”

Cotton Gin is heavily inspired by the industrial revolution and Victorian aesthetics. The visual identity consists of a logo suite, packaging design, cocktail book, coasters, and cocktail glasses. The logo suite provides a variety of simplified marks making it easy to apply this otherwise really detailed primary logotype.
The identity is equipped with a number of spot illustrations used in the cocktail book and other collateral. These brand graphics make the identity easy to extend throughout any application while maintaining brand recognition outside of using just the logo itself.
